Analogy and its Types in (Mem and Zain) by Ahmed Al-Khani

Abstract

Mem and Zain by Ahmed Al-Khani is a great epic in Kurdish literature. it is an epic rich in general rhetorical methods and analogy. Khani used analogies in various styles and techniques, so we decided to analyze them and show the methods and diversity that Khani used in them. This study is under the name (Analogy and its types in (Mem and Zain) by Ahmed Al-Khani. It is an attempt to identify the genres and methods of analogy in this epic. The research aims, according to the descriptive-analytical approach, to answer two questions: how have simile techniques been used in this literary work, and how have they been expressed and in what style? This study consists of two chapters: the first chapter deals with the concept of analogy and its basics, while the second chapter deals with its types and methods. It should be noted that in the two chapters, the models were applied, and the study concluded in the other to several results, the most important of which are: good skill in expression and the formation of literary analogies. The manipulation of the components of simile is a phenomenon and one of the characteristics of this epic work. and this is due to the skill and innovation of Khani in the field of rhetoric and expression techniques.
