The Collection Stories of the Old Butterflies of he Evening From the Perspective of Social Criticism

Abstract

The collection of stories ( The  old butterflies of the evening ) which belongs to The great author ( Sherzad Hassan ) is one of the most important works of the contemporary Kurdish literature that reflects the social , cultural and historical issues of Kurdish society. This collection applies a multi-layered experiences with using metaphorical signs of literature to explain the struggle between traditional and modernity in which leads to explain the question of social oppression. This research by using the method of social literary criticism …attempts to examine the ways to proof that the social facts are really representative in this literary work . In this regard the concepts such as power ,high discourse ، the crisis of identity , have been used as an analytical framework . The conclusions of the study shows that the author ( Sherzad Hassan ) by taking advantage of the modern narrative such as polyphony ,and mystical realism represents a reality of a social environment in which the characters involved in cultural and historical contradictions . This collection of stories are not only the reflection of the society crises but also a platform of thinking of the power structures and this patterns which reproduce the dominant ideology .
