Abstract

 The topic of trust generally and political trust particularly are one of the complex topics due to overlapping with a group of other terms and lack of clarity in measurement. For this reason, few researchers would address or study about the topic of trustworthy. However, indirectly, it is connected to political power in society. This research aims to identify the cognitive and political aspect of the professor and its impact on developing the political trust of the university student. The importance of this research is evident as it is a preliminary attempt, according to the researcher’s knowledge, on the subject of the professor as an important element of the educational process. This research is considered descriptive research, which relied on a comprehensive inventory approach using a poem sample to analyze the research topics. The research reached many results, including: The research showed that there is a cognitive role for the professor in developing political trust in society. The research revealed that there are no statistically significant methods for gender variable on the level of political trust in the society. The research indicated that there is an impact of the political role and the cognitive role of the professor on level of political trust in the society. There is no direct impact on the professor for political trust in the future, but rather, they collectively affected political trust as a single package.
