تُعد هذه الدراسة محاولة في مجال علم النفس الخطابي، وتُقدِّم للقارئ شاعرين من أمتين مختلفتين تمامًا بخلفيات اجتماعية وسياسية متباينة، وهما شيركو بيكهس كشاعر كردي، وأوفيليا زيبيدا كشاعرة من السكان الأصليين لأمريكا. ومن خلال توظيف علم النفس الخطابي، يحلل الباحث أربع قصائد، وهي: "البذور" و"نبتة في الرماد" لبيكهس، و"نحن الباباجو" و"دخان في شعرنا" لزيبيدا. تهدف الدراسة إلى توضيح كيفية استخدام الشاعرين للغة في التعبير عن أفكارهما، وكيف يتم تجسيد هويات أمتيهما ومشكلاتهما عبر مفردات ورموز خاصة. كما يركّز الباحث على الجوانب النفسية في القصائد لإبراز المشاعر السعيدة والحزينة التي عبّر عنها المؤلفان، وإظهار مدى تعلقهما بوطنهما وعمق حبهما لأرضهما. ومن أجل تحقيق هذه الأهداف، تحاول الدراسة الإجابة على عدد من الأسئلة، مثل: كيف يستخدم الكاتبان اللغة لتقديم نفسيهما وأمّتيهما؟ وما نوع الكلمات والرموز التي تُستخدم لنقل أفكارهما حول المقاومة والصمود؟ ويخلص البحث إلى أن علم النفس الخطابي يُعد أداة فعّالة لتحقيق هذه الأهداف، حيث أثبتت دراسة اللغة أن الشاعرين وطنيان حقيقيان كرّسا حياتهما ووقتهما لخدمة وطنهما والحفاظ على هويتهما وثقافتهما.
