Abstract

Purpose: The study aims to examine the impact of organizational readiness, represented by (top management support, organizational culture, organizational flexibility, and vision clarity) in organizational prestige, represented by (organizational reputation, organizational identity, and external organizational perception) and analyzes the relationship between them at the University of Duhok from the perspective of department heads. Design/Methodology: To achieve the research objective, a descriptive-analytical method was employed for data collection and analysis. An electronic questionnaire (Google Form) was utilized to gather responses. The study sample consisted of all (101) department heads, with a final response rate of (92) department heads at the University of Duhok. Research hypotheses were tested using SPSS Version 25. Findings and Recommendations: Results indicate a significant impact of organizational readiness on organizational prestige at the aggregate indicator level. This suggests that a higher level of organizational readiness at the University of Duhok enhances the university’s ability to elevate its organizational prestige. Key recommendations highlight the importance of applying organizational readiness dimensions effectively in practice to strengthen organizational prestige and adapt to environmental pressures and changes. Originality/Value: The research is valuable due to the scarcity of field studies examining the relationship between organizational readiness and prestige within the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, presenting a knowledge gap. Addressing this gap through empirical studies enables a better understanding of this relationship. The study offers insights into the practice of organizational readiness dimensions within the investigated university, contributing practically to enhancing its organizational prestige.
