The Role of Supportive Leadership in Promoting Job Enrichment An analytical study of the perspectives of a sample of workers in private hospitals in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq

Abstract

The current study aims to determine the relationship and impact between supportive leadership and the job enrichment. The descriptive analytical approach adopted to determine the theoretical framework for the study concepts and variables. The researchers used the questionnaire as a tool for collecting primary data from the study sample of (683) individuals taken from the study population represented by workers in (44) private hospitals in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. The SPSS 24 statistical program was relied on to perform the required statistical analyzes such as finding frequencies, mean values, and standard deviations for the dimensions of the study variables, and testing the research hypotheses represented by correlation and influence using the AMOS 24 program. The study reached a set of conclusions, including the existence of a direct correlation with statistical significance and a positive effect between the study variables in the surveyed hospitals from the perspective of their staff. The study presented a set of recommendations, the most important of which is to enhance the dimensions of the supportive leadership and the need to apply them in the environment of the health sector and other sectors. Which have a positive impact in achieving job enrichment and in line with the nature, cultures and structures of private hospitals, the study sample in particular, and business organizations in general.

Zana M. Sadiq, Department of Business Management, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Koya University, Kurdistan Region, Iraq

Zana Majed Sadq gained his B.Sc. degree in Business Administration from Salahaddin
University in 2009, M.Sc. degree in Management from Hertfordshire University (UK) in 2013.
Recently he is a PhD student in University of Sulaymaniyah. Zana is a Lecturer and teaching in
Department of Business Management in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Koya
University in Kurdistan Region, F.R. Iraq. He teach several topics at my faculty, i.e Principle of
Management Science, Marketing Management. Zana got his scientific title Assistant Lecturer
(2014) and Lecturer (2017). Zana has (60) scientific publications; (11) books and more than (27)
conference papers.

Daroon F. Abdulla, Department of Business Management, Collage of Administration and Economics, University of Sulaimani, Kurdistan Region, Iraq

Dr. Daroon Faridun Abdulla was born in 1983 in Sulaimani. Daroon got his BSc in Business
management in 2008 at University of Sulaimani as the first top student in that academic year
across the university and KRG universities with 95.8%. He got a scholarship from HCDP and
finished his MSc in International Business and Management at University of Sheffield in the UK
- 2012. In 2018, he got PhD in strategic management and organizational behavior. He is
currently head of Business Management Department at University of Sulaimani and his scientific
title is Assistant professor. Daroon has more 32 scientific publications and participated in many
conferences inside and outside Iraq.
